Wiremu Rhodes
Wiremu Rhodes is a criminal defence barrister practising from Mātai Chambers in Auckland. Wiremu works with Quentin Duff, assisting with his criminal practice in the District Court and High Court. He holds legal aid approval at PAL 3, appearing on serious matters carrying maximum penalties of up to 20 years' imprisonment.
Background and Credentials
Wiremu holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Waikato and was admitted to the bar in 2021. Since admission, he has worked closely with Quentin Duff across a broad range of indictable matters, developing a practice focused on serious criminal litigation. Experience
Wiremu has extensive trial experience across serious criminal matters in the District Court and High Court. He has appeared as junior and co counsel in jury trials and contested hearings, building depth in advocacy, witness examination, and the practical management of complex defence files.
